Here we have to explain which member of each pair of compounds forms intermolecular H bonds and have to draw the H-bonded structures in each case

Hydrogen bond:- The bond formed between the H-atom and highly electronegative atom (like O, F, N) is called as Hydrogen bond, it is denoted by dotted line (----) . Along with high electronegativity the atom must have smaller size.

Step 1

(a) CH3CH(OH)CH3 or CH3SCH3

In between the given two pairs, CH3CH(OH)CH3 can form H-bond due to presence of O-H.

The formation of H-bond in CH3CH(OH)CH3 is shown below,

Thus  CH3CH(OH)CH3 can form H-bond.
