Step 1: (a)

Here, we are going to determine the most concentrated solution among four tubes.

We know, the most concentrated solutions should have more number of ionized particles (for KCl, K+ and Cl-).

The high solute concentration draws the water in by osmosis.

Therefore, the water level in the right side of the U tube (C and D) is the lowest. On the other hand, the left side tube (A, B) has the most concentrated solution than the right side tubes (C, D).

Thus, the tube B has the most concentrated solution.
