Chapter 9, Problem 94

(choose chapter or problem)

Think About It Are the following statements true? Why or why not?

(a) Because \(\frac{1}{n^{4}}\) approaches 0 as n approaches \(\infty),

\(\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \frac{1}{n^{4}}=0\).

(b) Because \(\lim _{n \rightarrow \infty} \frac{1}{\sqrt[4]{n}}=0\), the series \(\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} \frac{1}{\sqrt[4]{n}}\) converges.
