Wind speed of a tornado. Under certain conditions, the wind speed S, in miles per hour

Chapter 6, Problem 19

(choose chapter or problem)

Wind speed of a tornado. Under certain conditions, the wind speed S, in miles per hour, of a tornado at a distance d feet from its center can be approximated by the function where a is a constant that depends on certain atmospheric conditions and V is the approximate volume of the tornado, in cubic feet. Approximate the wind speed 100 ft from the center of a tornado when its volume is 1,600,000 ft3 and a = 0.78.
