Chapter 15, Problem 21

(choose chapter or problem)

Mass  In Exercises 21 and 22, find the total mass of two turns of a spring with density \(\rho\) in the shape of the circular helix

\(r(t)=2 \cos ti+2 \sin tj+tk,\ \ \ 0\ \leq\ t\ \leq\ 4\pi\)

\(\rho(x,\ y,\ z)=\frac{1}{2}(x^2+y^2+z^2)\)

Text Transcription:

r(t) = 2 cos ti + 2 sin tj + tk, 0 leq t leq 4pi

rho(x, y, z) = 1/2 (x^2 +y^2 +z^2)
