Chapter 10, Problem 95

(choose chapter or problem)

In Exercises 91-96, determine whether the statement is true or false. If it is false, explain why or give an example that shows it is false.

If the asymptotes of the hyperbola  \(\left(x^{2} / a^{2}\right)-\left(y^{2} / b^{2}\right)=1\)  intersect at right angles, then  \(a=b\).

Text Transcription:

(x^2 / a^2) - (y^2 / b^2) = 1

a = b
