Answer: Determining Parallel Lines In Exercises 2528, determine whether any of the lines

Chapter 11, Problem 27

(choose chapter or problem)

In Exercises 25-28, determine whether any of the lines are parallel or identical.

\(L_{1}: \frac{x-8}{4}=\frac{y+5}{-2}=\frac{z+9}{3}\)

\(L_{2}: \frac{x+7}{2}=\frac{y-4}{1}=\frac{z+6}{5}\)

\(L_{3}: \frac{x+4}{-8}=\frac{y-1}{4}=\frac{z+18}{-6}\)

\(L_{4}: \frac{x-2}{-2}=\frac{y+3}{1}=\frac{z-4}{1.5}\)

Text Transcription:

L_1: frac x-8 4=frac y+5 -2=frac z+9 3

L_2: frac x+7 2=frac y-4 1=frac z+6 5

L_3: frac x+4-8=frac y-1 4=frac z+18 -6

L_4: frac x-2 -2=frac y+3 1=frac z-4 1.5
