(Lesson 9-3) The pH of a persons blood is given by the function pH = 6.1 + log 10 B - log 10 C, where B is the concentration of bicarbonate, which is a base, in the blood, and C is the concentration of carbonic acid in the blood. 15. Use the Quotient Property of Logarithms to simplify the formula for blood pH.
