It is denoted by the greek letter nu() and is generally expressed in terms of Hertz(Hz) [1 Hz = 1 sec ]-1 If c is the velocity of light, is the wavelength, then frequency of the wave can be determined by using the following relation: c = x Step4: d) Frequency of the water wave can also be calculated using the following relation: 1 = -- T In this formula, represents frequency and T represents the time period or amount of time required to complete a single wave cycle. ----------------------
