The adrenal glands mobilize responses to stress. Nerve signals from the hypothalamus

Chapter 26, Problem 26.9

(choose chapter or problem)

The adrenal glands mobilize responses to stress. ACTH from the pituitary causes the adrenal cortex to secrete glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids, which boost blood pressure and energy in response to long-term stress.
