The flower is the organ of sexual reproduction in angiosperms. The angiosperm flower consists of sepals, petals, stamens, and carpels. Pollen grains develop in anthers, at tips of stamens. The tip of the carpel, the stigma, receives pollen grains. The ovary, at the carpels base, houses the egg-producing ovule.
