From the Data Bank, choose one of the following variables: age, weight, cholesterol level, systolic pressure, IQ, or sodium level. Select at least 30 values, and find the mean, median, mode, and midrange. State which measurement of central tendency best describes the average and why.

ANSWER:

Solution

Step 1 of 5

We have to find the mean, median, mode and midrange for 30 values for any of the variable from the given data set

Find mean mean, median, mode and midrange for the variable age

Mean is the sum of all the values divided by the no.of values

Then Mean

                      =1166/30

                      =38.87

Hence Mean=38.87
