INVESTMENT PORTFOLIO In Exercises 63 and 64,consider an investor with a portfolio totaling $500,000 that isinvested in certificates of deposit, municipal bonds, blue-chipstocks, and growth or speculative stocks. How much is investedin each type of investment? The certificates of deposit pay 3% annually, and themunicipal bonds pay 5% annually. Over a five-yearperiod, the investor expects the blue-chip stocks toreturn 8% annually and the growth stocks to return 10%annually. The investor wants a combined annual returnof 5% and also wants to have only one-fourth of theportfolio invested in stocks.
