\(\frac{a_{k}}{b_{k}}=-\tan \beta_{k}\),
and from the definition of \(\theta_{k}\) that
\(\tan \theta_{k}=-\cot \beta_{k}\).
Now use the trigonometric identity
Tan x = cot(90 - x)
to show that \(\theta_{k}=90+\beta_{k}\).
