Chapter 3, Problem 3/64

(choose chapter or problem)

The particle of mass \(m=0.2 \mathrm{~kg}\) travels with constant speed v in a circular path around the conical body. Determine the tension T in the cord. Neglect all friction, and use the values \(h=0.8 \mathrm{~m}\) and \(v= 0.6 \mathrm{~m} / \mathrm{s}\). For what value of v does the normal force go to zero?
