The painted-steel channel of Fig. P10.15 is designed, without the barrier, for a fl ow rate of 6 m3 /s at a normal depth of 1 m. Determine (a) the design slope of the channel and (b) the reduction in total fl ow rate if the proposed paintedsteel central barrier is installed.
