Consider the flow system sketched in Fig. P1423. The fluid is water, and the pump is a centrifugal pump. Generate a qualitative plot of the pump net head as a function of the pump capacity. On the figure, label the shutoff head, the free delivery, the pump performance curve, the system curve, and the operating point. (Hint: Carefully consider the required net head at conditions of zero flow rate.)
