The windchill temperatures shown in the table can be calculated using C = 35.74 + 0.6215t - 35.74225 v4 + 0.4275t225 v4 , in which C is the windchill, in degrees Fahrenheit, t is the air temperature, in degrees Fahrenheit, and v is the wind speed, in miles per hour. Use the formula to solve Exercises 129132.a. Rewrite the equation for calculating windchilltemperatures using rational exponents. b. Use the form of the equation in part (a) and a calculatorto find the windchill temperature, to the nearestdegree, when the air temperature is 35F and thewind speed is 15 miles per hour.
