Let U Unif(0, 1), and X = log U 1 U . Then X has the Logistic distribution, as defined in Example 5.1.6. (a) Write down (but do not compute) an integral giving E(X2). (b) Find E(X) without using calculus. Hint: A useful symmetry property here is that 1 U has the same distribution as U.
