Exhaust (assumed to have the properties of standardair) leaves the 4-ft-diameter chimney shown in Video V5.4 andFig. P5.42 with a speed of 6 ft/s. Because of the wind, after a fewdiameters downstream the exhaust flows in a horizontal directionwith the speed of the wind, 15 ft/s. Determine the horizontalcomponent of the force that the blowing wind exerts on theexhaust gases.
