Chapter 8, Problem 11

(choose chapter or problem)

Use the Gram-Schmidt procedure to calculate L\, Lj, and Lj, where iLo(x), L|(x), Liix), LjLx)} is an orthogonal set of polynomials on (0, oo) with respect to the weight functions w(x) = e~x and Lo(x) = I. The polynomials obtained from this procedure are called the Laguerre polynomials.
