Draw as many resonance structures as you can for (a) the form of fluorescein present at pH 5 9 (p. 730), and (b) the fluorescent group of the green fluorescent protein (p. 730). Use the curved-arrow notation to derive your structures. Be sure in both cases that an unshared electron pair on the anionic oxygen is involved in the resonance interaction.
