    Classes can be kind of long due to the subject matter, but he makes it as interesting as it can be. He's a truly funny man who uses characters (such as Billy Bubba Hawkins) to help you understand more than just the definition of what he is explaining. I didn't record his lectures, just sat up close and took good notes. Book not necessary but could be helpful. Tests are 100% from his lectures. Great guy, great teacher! ...Continue reading

    It is helpful to go to every class. But the only class you really have to go is the review day. He does very detailed reviews for his tests, pretty much goes over every question. Great teacher. Makes the subject interesting. Would definitely take him again! ...Continue reading

    I took Professor Butler for professional writing and all he talked about was intro to law enforcement and how to write police reports. Nothing was learned during his lectures that would help on his test and his reviews were so vague they really did nothing to help either. I recommend to not take this professor. ...Continue reading

    Professor Butler mostly just babels on and on about anything not pertaining to the topic. I took Professional Writing with him and honestly feel as if I walked out of his class less intelligent than I was before.     I took Dr. Amaya's thermo one class at UTA and I would recommend him to everyone who is required to take this class. His lectures are informative, and his tests are not tough. Homework due once per week, attend class and sit towards the front because sometimes it can be hard to hear him. Three exams, one final, and two key assignments (not tough) ...Continue reading
