Beginning of Chapter 1: Covalent Bonding and Shapes of Molecules (1.1-1.3)
Includes: writing molecular structures, bond polarity and atom formal charges, resonance structures, atom hybridization, and how to write 3D lewis structures
We finished the rest of the important functional groups and then began Chapter 2. Chapter 2 included a discussion on alkanes, constitutional isomers, alkane nomenclature (IUPAC and common), alkane conformations, and a closer look at strain energy!
Last part of chapter 2 including cycloalkane nomenclature, discussion of constitutional and stereochemical isomers, cycloalkane conformations, substituted cyclohexanes, bicyclic and polycyclic alkanes, and how to draw cyclohexane chairs.

Combustion and beginning of chapter 3 discussing chirality
