Lots of hands-on learning opportunites, networking/recruiting events, and an unbeatable community atmosphere at WSU. very chill students and the professors are very approachable and helpful whenever asked for it. It is a college town so cost of living is fairly cheap and people are really friendly. Plus, we have amazing parties and spirited drunks. Best costume parties ever cuz everyone will participate! ...Continue reading

Transferred to the Global Campus a year ago. Only if you make it one. I think WSU needs to take a look at their science department and who they are letting teach these non major science classes. It can be a little discouraging. Overall, other professors I have had are pretty good. Great social atmosphere and its pretty easy to meet people in your classes and dorms. ...Continue reading

Pullman is a small community with not much to do other than school work unless one actually looks so most choose to party which impacts the college's reputation. You literally walk uphill both both ways to class and back. There isn't much diversity in student life but once you're a Coug, people take care of you. You don't need to be a big party animal to have fun here, there are many opportunities to boost your social life. ...Continue reading

WSU has a culture that is hard to explain. The campus is beautiful (especially in the fall leaves) and the social atmosphere is stellar. Cougs treat Cougs with respect and are rather kind while on the hill for classes. It's called the promised land for a reason! GO COUGS Everything is great, except for the wifi can be slow in a few residence halls. Around campus and in classes the wifi is very fast though. ...Continue reading

WSU is the school that most people get accepted to in Washington state who have a 3.0 and above. Best to go ahead and get the books you need over the internet through library share. Campus life is built all around the Cougars, very sports oriented. The pubs and restaurants are not in plenty or even that good. If you are looking for job, get here a month before school starts because town size doubles when school starts. ...Continue reading

DON'T attend this school unless you are going to be part of greek life, on an athletic team, or attend one of the town's cult-like christian churches. Finding work related experience is the student's responsibility during your time there as undergrad research and job opportunities are not a university priority. The parties are great. Winter sucks there. The campus is beautiful They show you all the pretty things about the school (the mascot, the football team) but dosn't tell you about the budget. They cut the theatre program but wait they're spending billions of dollars for new renovation, wait. They're also mearging ethnic studes and women studies together (I think its next on the chopping block). ...Continue reading

Engage professor but too chummy with students. Very heavy reading for PSYCH372, make sure you've taken a basic psychology and biology course as prerequisites. Okay this class sucked. You won't like it unless you actually like science. The class is very difficult and heavily relies on doing well on tests. If you don't do well on tests it can really affect your grade the entire semester. Homework and Clicker points are only 2 points, but it will matter in the end!! They add up and it can help your grade. Her tests are extremely difficult and no matter how prepared you feel, you never do well. She is happy with a class average of 70% which is not good considering its a 100 level class. Labs almost always go the full time. I do NOT suggest this class ...Continue reading

He's a really nice guy but the class is really difficult. but when it comes to being a professor, you can forget about it. He writes out his lectures and it is so messy and not understandable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Hands down the best teacher I have had in college. He was so helpful both in and out of the classroom. During his office hours he was always available to sit down and explain everything without making you feel stupid for asking (like some teachers do). He made a math class actually enjoyable. Take his class & you won't regret it! ...Continue reading

Steven is the most down to earth person ever and you'll always be at least smiling in class because he's funny af, easy to talk to and cares He requires you to pay attention and come to class for notes, but his lectures are always entertaining, which makes going to class worth it. I met with him several times in his office because he's so approachable and easy to talk to. He is now one of my favorite teachers I've had at WSU. Thoug he has an accent, so long as you know the material and are following along with each lecture, this class should be a breeze. Yes there is a lot of homework and reading assignments, but near the end he gives you so much extra credit to make up for missed assignments (there's even extra credit on exams). Do the work, you pass. ...Continue reading

Doesn't ever reply to emails or messages. She is the least involved online teacher I've had. Literally felt like high school again. Be ready for getting marked down for everything you don't write out. I felt like I was in high school in class. His teaching made for a semester that was more difficult than it should've been. The material itself was not the issue, rather the manner it was presented and unnecessarily rigorous grading scale (for a 100-level course). I advise against enrolling with Mr. Eld. ...Continue reading

Extremely boring lecture, but you have to pay attention and take good notes because the notes on lectures are supposed to be evidence you use in the essays. Good presentations about material Spends as much time as class needs talking about concepts, will gladly answer questions about whatever you need. Exams usually have bonus questions so doing well is attainable even with not a whole lot of studying.
