It's a good school, and people come from every corner of the world for football games. There's something for everyone, whether you're into watching distinguished lecturers speak, gardening, social justice, sports clubs, traveling, live music, etc. I love how the campus is largely integrated into the downtown area. ...Continue reading

I love the academics, facilities, and opportunities. Not much to look at in the winter. Athletics are fun, and the atmosphere at Football and Basket ball games is electric. Buildings are beautiful, and lecture halls are large and comfortable. Can't say much for dorm food, but there are tons of places integrated with campus that serve amazing food. ...Continue reading

Overall, great school! Lots of opportunity for you to succeed and plenty of resources that you can take advantage of. I think a lot of people expect a university to make something of themselves. In reality going to college is a tool for you to grow. At Iowa you can definitely do just that. I was seriously considering going to Iowa State or Illinois but I am so happy with my choice. The night life here is UNREAL. Always something to do. Weather sucks but it's the midwest, what can ya do? There's a lot of school spirit and I'm proud to be a student here. Only reason I still go here is that people like it when you go to a state university. A lot of people here are very fake and talk about you behind your back. Good prof with lots of notoriety. Lectures are simple but it helps if you're in class when she goes over specifics. Don't use textbook, no homework/quizzes, anything - only 3 exams. Be careful though, need to know exam material and application of concepts. Names and stages of development are important too*** Beware of trick questions as well. ...Continue reading

Kristine is one of the worst professors I've had. Incredibly full of herself, and teaches her opinions like they're fact. She's also technologically illiterate and wastes time trying to figure out the simplest things. Tests have confusing questions and she expects us to teach ourselves the material outside of class. Avoid! ...Continue reading

This class can be challenging and she does curve the class and does not give +/- grades. You can tell she is very politically opinionated and isn't afraid to bring that into class - that was the only downfall. So as long as you stay away from potentially touchy subjects and participate a lot in class, you will stay on her good side. She is always willing to help out. ...Continue reading
