This university was the perfect fit for me. The tuition isn't that bad, but the campus is amazing. UK is in the heart of downtown Lexington, so there are a ton of great restaurants and places to go on and off campus, so pretty much anything you need is within walking distance. There is a lot of construction. Professors really care about students and are overall friendly. There's always something to do on campus. Overall, it's a really great atmosphere to live in. ...Continue reading

After only being here for one school year I really enjoy it. A lot of people think they should be handed their degrees. I've been working my ass off and have had a lot of rewards. Great students, and campus is very pretty. As a large research institution, you have the opportunity to delve into your fields of interest and make excellent connections. At the same time, it can be easy to become isolated and lost in the system. Like all colleges, UK is constantly looking to boost profits at the expense of students and it does show. Great social life, greek life, and athletics. ...Continue reading

University of Kentucky is a college that will give you many great opportunities as long you're willing to take them. Beautiful buildings and lots of places to eat. Big library and plenty of space to walk around. Only downside is parking but you can't expect much for a university in the middle of a city and they try to make it bearable. Would recommend! Terrible parking, no social life if you're not Greek, and Lexington is honestly a horrible city. Just plain awful. I spent three semesters at UK before transferring to Boston University. Lexington is perhaps the most boring metropolitan city in the country. There is literally nothing to do there. Student body is terrible, awful academic support structure, and not worth the price. ...Continue reading

You must be their for your REEF attendance questions or have people their to send you the answers for a chunk of your grade. His classes are kinda boring and he tends to make mistakes when working our problems. But he's really nice and open to answering all questions. he also tries to incorporate small experiments to make the class more interesting. Good teacher!!! I honestly think it is his goal to get through the entire semester's material in one week. I have to relearn all the material he doesn't teach in class on my own because I can't take notes at the speed of light. ...Continue reading

By far best math professor I have ever had, maybe even best professor period. Dr. Druivenga explained the test material clearly. There are practice exams available on the math website that are great study material. The exams are almost identical to the practice exams. DO NOT SKIP REC! Skipping the rec for this class impacts your grade, missing twice is 70/100 for your rec grade ...Continue reading

I like Spencer as a person but, he is very socially awkward and so intelligent that he is unable to explain things in a way that actually makes sense. Don't take him unless you want to teach yourself calculus. I am retaking accounting 201 with professor zhao, and its a night and day difference between him and other accounting professors. Powerpoint slides of notes posted after each chapter to help you understand better. You do have to study because accounting is a hard subject, but do the bonus assignments and homework and you should get an A. ...Continue reading

She never answers questions straight forward. Her reviews are stupid because she never answers the review questions given. Participation points are done in a terrible manner. Do not get the book because she clearly says the info in it is wrong. Her lectures are extremely boring and hard stay awake.
