The SJW's on campus will bark on about a rare occurrences of something being routine but in the 2 years I was here, not one issue had me concerned. The great thing is their is a local counter balance thanks to Chico being a rural farming community. Great outdoor and party scene if that's your thing and a relaxing atmosphere. ...Continue reading

CSUC has a lot to offer in terms of edu and opportunities IF you seek it out. Most of the Professors and all of the Administration could care less about the students. To them you are just a means to a paycheck. Nice City, however the cops will bust you over silly bs stuff, they really single out students. ...Continue reading

Am honestly extremely surprised/curious (mostly as to whether or not the previous commenters have functioning taste buds) why the food rating was so high, considering I could probably fry a piece of cardboard for lunch and have about the same satisfaction. It has its ups and downs just like everywhere else. Its greatest weakness has nothing to do with the campus, but the town itself. The city of Chico is garbage. The only people who like it here are future lifelong bar rats and artists. If you are planning to come here from a real city prepare for a culture shock. ...Continue reading

Chico is honestly the best environment to be in It's awesome! I will miss this school after I graduate. Overall I have had very good professors, and none that were bad. The people are nicer here than other places. Not many food options on campus, but downtown is right off of campus, and there is a lot of good food downtown. Most things are in walking or biking distance. ...Continue reading

Chico is a tiny town with a city complex and a homeless problem. Close to downtown but there's quite a large homeless population there. You can find everything you need not far away. There's always parties around town and many regard Chico as a party school. There's still plenty to do if you're not much of a partier and there's never a pressure to go. The only thing going for the town is this college, which is pretty nice. Most of the areas around the campus however, aren't safe at night. Vandalism and theft is a major issue. Party reputation brings in some pretty trashy people. It's not bad if you're limited on options and money. ...Continue reading

Uplifting town, diverse people, outdoor activities galore! If you're considering going here, I highly recommend it. Beautiful campus and lots of opportunities, it just gets crazy hot in summer! The professors are top notch and the campus is literally a park full of trees and rivers running through it. I love Chico State! Career opportunities have been hard to come by though despite getting a decent 3.0 GPA over my Economics coursework. I cannot really blame the university for that. I am doing better after graduating than the jobs I had during and before Chico State. ...Continue reading

wouldn't chose this school again. Majority of teachers act like they don't care and are just there for paycheck. The entire school sees nothing wrong with making the students jump through hoops. Also parking is horrible. the school has made it clear they don't want you to drive and to enforce that they make limited parking and give most to teachers There are some positives, such as the fact that the campus is beautiful and there is plenty of things to do outdoors in the area. However, the facilities are antiquated and the faculty mostly consists of inept, self-important PhDs who have little interest in the success of their students. ...Continue reading
