I've had some wonderful professors at this school. The amount of classes moving online and not providing in lecture is a travesty itself. Rather than giving people both options to attend classes on or offline. A Bulk of them are online which I had a bad experience with them before. I would just the generals and move on. Best Decision I made as well for some others. Why to many hybrid math class were the work is all done online and you still show up to class. It is what you would expect for community college. Nothing bad to say about the campus BUT the financial aid office is terrible! The staff are inexperienced and do not care about you AT ALL. They require so much leg work of the student - things that are done automatically at other colleges/universities. The general advising is horrible. You wait hours to see them. Two different instructors for two years. Mark Kranendonk who is a joke. his lecture is great then he vanishes for lab, uses phrases like figure it out for yourself and walks away. Then there is Bill Kleman a great teacher all around I learned a lot from this man. ...Continue reading

This college can be great one but their to many old negative professor teaching that complain about how they have to teach the younger generation how we don't care, how bad the school has gotten and how they hate thier job. Also this college can't get and retain any good professors and when the they don't stick around two long. Also the students her are really rude abuse the the buildings and campus her. Your luck to get connected because most of the time you can't or get a really poor single. ...Continue reading

Good profressors teaching the lower division classes. That is because most of the faculty that teach remedial courses are employed part-time and don't have the time for there students and are unqualified to teach college Also DRC office is understaffed underpaid and not qualified to work in the DRC office at SLCC. ...Continue reading

I attend the salt lake campus last semester and attending the main campus this semester and both have some nice professor but really rude students with lots of crime at these campuses . the math professors her really suck her they teach way to fast and teach to many sort cuts and can get you confused really quick. your ask tomay question and tell you your slowing things up we need to move on and never have to met after class. Unless you like manual laboring all your life get greasy dirty and Blowing out your body. There are some medical program's like nursing and other but they almost impossible to get into a becuse you need 3.8 hour higher GPA to get in. ...Continue reading

This school is not very good if youre a student with disabilities the testing center people are rude the professor can't even get your test to the test center on test day. Also has the worst math professor ever. Went to math class today and we went over 5 problem for the final in one day that's all we did. When to tutor section for my math final way to cowed and way to noisy. The disability center at the college doesn't know what their are doing and aren't much help. You schedule to take a test with you teacher and DRC can't find the test your teacher sent down. They miscommunicate a lot on the time your suppose to take your test. takes 2 years your test back. ...Continue reading

Or lazy professor that just short cut every thing up and teach you to many math vocabulary words and math history. know one down her can teach math I quite and transferring. ...Continue reading

I just show up go to my classes and when my classes are over I don't hang out her. Also most of the professor are university burn outs or wash outs that could make it a a big college. Plus all of the campuses are fare out of the way and not every easy to get to. Because only 50% of the professors are worth taking at SLCC. Also so class in high demand their is not a lot available to register for. That's because they pay professors to cheap and don't treat them very well high turn over. ...Continue reading

This community college is not all bad but need to get much better math professors that just don't go through the motions and rely heavily on a web program to teach thier students. At this college all of there good professors are retiring early and when thier get new ones that are good they don't hang around to long. Also this college's two main campus are in areas the have the highest crime in the state. ...Continue reading

Definitely doesn't get the credit it deserves. The teachers work hard and are dedicated to helping each student excel whether they are being paid for doing it, or not. Great resources are always available at the student center and the students are friendly. ...Continue reading

I was pleasantly surprised to find a high level of communication to the students in relating resources available from shuttle service, tutoring, disability services to major exploration. This college is just path way to get some low level and some mid level generals out of the way cheaper and to get done what you need to get in to a 4 year and beyond university. Other than that, the rest of the professors here are washouts that couldn't teach at the University. The cafeteria selection is disgusting. The bookstore is still a place where you get gouged despite it being a community college and the parking sucks. It's like I am take a test every other class time and math test every week it like we're on a summer sechedule moving so fast it's like you're teaching yourself. ...Continue reading

Massive range of people who go to this school. This sucks when trying to get you class work printed off or long in to do class work. Also the WiFi is really spotty and weak on the campus to and half of the time is down. Also if you have a windows phone or surface pro you can't long on to school WiFi eather. I been to other colleges and some of the class sizes are ridiculous. For the most part, I had good professors and good overall experience. ...Continue reading

it is awesome school I dropped out ten years ago and have been back for a year and I will say they have improved a lot in the past ten years. Lots of campuses, great professors, and good availability for classes. But their classes are designed to be a perfect feeder school for UofU, at half price tuition and small classes. Engineering department transfers well to the U. Review teachers online, speak to councilors at slcc and UofU, and take your education seriously to succeed. ...Continue reading

I've loved it here so far, I haven't really had a teacher that I absolutely hated. Community colleges have a stigma, but I have really enjoyed my experience here. The professors really seem to love teaching, the other students are driven to learn, and it's a cheaper alternative to get an associate's, and then I can transfer to a university when I'm finished here. ...Continue reading
