It's a good school, you'll love it here! The administration breeds a culture of coalition and diversity rather than one of competition and exclusion. Science courses here are very tough, considering the University's status as a research institution. Essentially, you'll get out what you put in academically and socially. Beware what you go here for because Pitt can be really bad for some majors. Great environment and rising reputation. Party scene has been damaged by greek life crackdown so being in a frat or being 21 is crucial. Solid culture and interesting gen eds even if you have to take a lot of them ...Continue reading

H2P! People do not seem to be aware of the amazing academics that Pitt offers. It has so many highly ranked programs. I have had a great experience so far. There are great vibes just walking around campus. Everyone seems happy and smart. There is a good balance between work and social life. ...Continue reading

Do not come to Pitt for programs outside of healthcare and philosophy they are awfully funded and directed. They care mostly about schoolwork, and I have found many to be rather rude. If not rude, you certainly cannot describe pitt students as friendly. This is coming from someone who has always had a lot of friends. Also the stress level is super high. ...Continue reading

Classes are no joke, the research & location for Pitt is amazing especially for any student interested in a STEM major. It's nice to see the Cathedral of Learning always standing tall no matter the weather. Numerous, amazing places to study. Good network of peers, and although it is a big campus and a large university, everything is fairly close together. Coming from a small town I was expecting a culture shock, but not much at all. ...Continue reading

Pitt is really an amazing school! The advisors are absolutely terrible and especially the business school. This is a great place to learn and meet incredible people, it's a pretty big University with many opportunities. Going into my 1st visit after acceptance, I was pretty distraught from my dream school rejection. However, that all disappeared the 1st time I stepped on campus. I fell in love from the start. There really isn't any other Uni like it. If I could go back, Pitt would've been my #1 the whole time. Hail to Pitt! ...Continue reading
