The more you get involved at the University of Memphis, more doors open for you, the more friends you will make, the more networks you will build, and the more rewarding your college career will be. Don't get me wrong the classes are harder than I thought, but at the same time the teachers take the time to elaborate. You have lots of food & club choices. As well as opportunities to participate in campus activities. I literally love in the library so hey A lot of new student facilities are being built which I will miss out on, like the new student Recreation center and dorms and the city is transforming the adjoining neighborhood to be more conducive to a college students' social needs. Lots of new bars, and clubs opening on the Highland strip. ...Continue reading

I enjoyed taking Keven's class! He's very socially aware and makes a lot of examples related to animal rights, race, current events. He tries to get us to think outside the box. Assignments are easy and straightforward. Some times he does not do powerpoints and just talks about the course material. Be prepared to take notes. He really has helped me change and become better at public speaking. He's very passionate about the subject, and he wants nothing more than for you to succeed. He's young, and this makes him very approachable as well. Sign up for his class you'll love it for sure! ...Continue reading

I wish I could take this class for the first time again. He's an intelligent, warm, funny, caring professor who appears to really love teaching. Unlike many profs in Communications, Dr. Matthews appreciates creativity. His lectures on communication were very fun and realistic. He sometimes doesn't use concrete terms but that's because communication can be abstract. He does however have concrete goals/ expectations. He understands people are scared of speaking. The whole class grew together as speakers. ...Continue reading

Professor Frink is the absolute best. Any one that doesn't enjoy her class is sadly mistaken. I was terrified of having to take a foreign language, but with her kindness and openness to helping all students regardless to their pace of learning, assured me that she is a true instructor. ...Continue reading

Dr. Burnette is a very enthusiastic teacher who appears to love his field. You may find the classes boring, though, if you are not into weather. The tests are very easy read over the study guide that he provides and you will pass. Attendance is not taken but he does give easy open-book pop quizzes so you will need to come to class to get those. Don't buy the book study with the powerpoint slides and buy the tophat code separately. Tests are easy just study the study guides. He will offer extra credit overall good professor just boring. ...Continue reading

he's a very dull teacher, sometimes you can't read his handwriting, & that is annoying because he writes all the notes. Tests are short answer and essay questions, and you have to put down exactly what he wants but he never makes it clear to what he wants. Writes on the white board and has very bad hand writing. Most of the time keeps talking past the end of class. Very boring person. ...Continue reading

I took this class online due to being extremely busy, but the work load I received was the most I have ever gotten in any course. He's unwilling to help students and if a student tries to get help, he directs a general statement about it later to the whole class in a very irritated manner. And I took him online. And I hope he reads this. Not because I'm angry, but I hope he learns a little from it. I usually have good grades, but I had alot of trouble in his class. You pretty much have to memorize the book if you want to do well in his class. Every time I left his class, I was MAD because of his unfairness. He liked to base his grading ONLY on his opinion. But he would never admit that-Frustrating! ...Continue reading

I did not read the excerpts given, but I participated in the lectures and made a 98 on my first paper. He will also edit your paper before you submit it. Honestly wants everyone to do well. Isn't biased or opinionated. My favorite thing about Dan is he doesn't take sides. He genuinely wants to explore all sides to an issue.
