NAU is not the most respected for it's academics but so far all of my professors have been wonderful and I'm learning so much. If your looking to go to wild insane parties this is not the school for you. There is a lot to do if you like the outdoors! ...Continue reading

Seems like the university is more interested in how they the campus looks and catering to incoming freshmen rather than spending more money on professors and instructors who know how to teach... The university is trying to expand and that overcrowds everything, from the buses, to the dorms, the lines for food, and especially the housing here. The people are good though ...Continue reading

NAU looks for any chance they can get to make money. They don't care about quality education or their students/faculty. Its only slightly better than a community college in my opinion. The instructors are great, but all the people that cover the logistics of the school need to go. I have had the worst experience here and finally had enough and withdrew from my classes. Or so I thought. I am still enrolled and am now failing instead of being withdrawn when I had straight A's. ...Continue reading

I have not experienced much that this campus has to offer but I am eager to know more, though, we need more food choices and the internet definitely has room for improvement. Some of the food is good but other meals make you want to throw up. It's a beautiful campus in a beautiful area, and there's a lot to do if you have a car. Really good academics, and extremely helpful to people who struggle However, NAU is more interested on getting student's to come to school than they are about helping current NAU students. The professors are good. Overall, if you explore the amazing city and surrounding areas and don't expect much from NAU employees, you'll be fine. ...Continue reading

Nau is a school that cares little about their student. Not in one instance has the material been up to date with real world application. It's like taking one history class after another. NAU is a wonderful university, I love it. I wouldn't transfer to any other school! NAU has it all! I transferred in as a junior and found a new home. However, the school is growing way too fast. Flagstaff doesn't have the space for so many students and there isn't enough student housing on campus. It's kind of making the school lose a little bit of its charm but the programs a still great enough that its worth the overcrowd. ...Continue reading

Little to no opportunities career-wise unless you're willing to pay or kiss some butt every day. Some great professors, but not enough. As for students, you'll need to sift through to find the gems. There is kind of something for everyone, a mix of parties to good academics and you can kind of pick and choose what you want to do. Make sure you bring a coat though. It does get cold. NAU is awesome. The scenery is so pretty and the teachers here are great. Everyone has a zen feel about them and everyone seems really happy here. There is kind of something for everyone, a mix of parties to good academics and you can kind of pick and choose what you want to do. Make sure you bring a coat though. It does get cold. The scenery is beautiful but the cold is brutal. The university doesn't receive as much credit as it should professors research and win accolades, plus the many students who carry the financial burden while still keeping up with school. Lots of parties if you search. ...Continue reading

The school is great, the teachers I have had so far have been great. So many kind people here, though of course there are duds like anywhere else. However, there isn't too much opportunity for research or advancement, just because a lot of the programs aren't very big. Not saying there's none, but you have to work to find it. ...Continue reading

Makes boring material really easy to learn and enjoyable, very accessible outside of class and actually cares about students I hated accounting before this class, but she did not overcomplicate things, the homework was always helpful and easy, and the exams were never terrible. This is one of the easiest online classes I've ever taken. There is only 4 essays, with no page limits. There is also only a couple discussion postings which are beyond easy. I don't know why people hate on him so much, show up to class, do the homework, be a good student and he's great. However, if you have questions you can ask the next day. Most of the class is going over homework so there is not much lecture. He gives a few opportunities for extra credit. ...Continue reading

Levi is one of the best professors I have had at NAU because he is very clear, concise, engaging and funny. He is very understanding and has no problem answering the same questions. He's kind of a tough grader but it is to make us better writers. He is always dead honest when it comes to feedback but he tries to do it in the nicest way possible. Overall he's a petty good teacher. He is funny, laid back, and there are a lot of class discussions. The class is easy just as long as you complete the assignments. He's really relaxed when it comes to due dates and will give extensions. Show up to class and you'll be good! However, he is a tough grader. Have a draft ready for peer-review days and get his feedback! ...Continue reading

Levi is pretty cool tbh, He's always willing to help his students. He has made me laugh many times due to his slight awkwardness and sort of dead pan humor. I enjoyed the class and the teacher, but there was times when he would critique papers where it did seem somewhat rude whether it be to me or my peer. Overall, a great experience though.
