This campus is right in the heart of Boston. Big enough to meet a bunch of people and still make more as a senior. 5 year co-op program helps immensely when applying for jobs post-graduation. The professional opportunities are outstanding beyond comparison. My professors in the School of Architecture are intelligent and helpful, and I feel well suited and at home on campus. That being said, my major complaint with residential life is the food service. ...Continue reading

Different from a traditional American college. The only downsides I would say is that is expensive and the school board cares more about its reputation than it's students. He is a very understanding person & will work with you . The class was very easy. As long as you watch the videos & look at the power points you will pass the weekly quizzes & exams online. Ryan Maness is lazy. He missed more classes than assigned, and was boring when there. He offers plenty of office hours, but does not help throughout them, advising us to look at the book, typically. Kind exterior, during office hours is arrogant. Most of the time in lecture I can't follow what he's saying because he's just spouting nonsense. Recitation is a lifesaver and so is reading the book. The exams are tough because he doesn't really teach well, but if you put in work outside of class and do your homework, you're fine. Use peer to peer tutoring if you aren't good with chem. He will not teach in class. Doesn't use powerpoints or board to teac at all, just talks about personal life for an hour. Gives wrong answers and teaches wrong concepts. Continuously gave us wrong answer for questions. Use peer to peer tutoring. ...Continue reading

She's incredibly nice and very straightforward. Her lectures were always interesting between her quirky humor and extensive knowledge on the subject, I didn't want class to end. She made me realize how much I love cognition! I took statistics with her too. doesn't use the textbook at all and is very lecture-heavy. talks straight through but throws in jokes and examples of the experiments to make things easier. totally willing to meet outside of the classroom to help and she gives extra credit if a test seemed more difficult (all mult. choice) ...Continue reading

AWFUL. She constantly changed her schedule and was very confusing in lectures. Learn nothing from her. She also has not stuck with the timeline at ALL and keeps falling behind. However, her tests are extremely easy-- you only needed to get 18 out of 23 questions correct to get 100% on both of the midterms. However, she's quite nice. ...Continue reading

baddest professor ever had. Can't answer simple questions from students, doesn't seem to know material taught in course. Tests on things not covered in lectures, doesn't test on things she said were important to know for the test. Disorganized, easily distracted, can't focus if anyone's talking above a whisper, but can get A just using text ...Continue reading

Jean is a great co-op advisor! I freaked out so many times about applying to co-ops and she answered every single one of my SOS phone calls and emails promptly! 10/10 would recommend! Professor Marano is very nice and like a previous review stated, the material is pretty dry but it's not her fault. She gives 5 reflection quizzes throughout the semester which are based on readings - they are pop quizzes but she will heavily suggest reading a particular article if she plans on quizzing. Review the textbook for exams. ...Continue reading

She's a very nice lady but her classes are terrible. I found her lectures extremely disengaging and she sometimes spoke in words that were not english. She did not prepare you for her exams (I taught myself everything) and when students asked questions she did not give them clear answers. She's not qualified to teach at NEU and I would 100% avoid They are really repetitive and she does not explain everything clearly. There are three test that are heavily graded. Attendance is not mandatory, so if you want to take her for that reason and teach yourself the material, then go for it. ...Continue reading

You only get graded on the midterm, final, and a paper, but given how poorly he teaches, don't expect too much ease (though he is an easy grader). ...Continue reading

Do yourself a favor and take macro economics with anyone else. His tests are all multiple choice only, which doesn't work for macro. His slides are dull, but not as much as his voice or teaching. I truly enjoyed having class with Alan Klein. the class is easy but you learn a lot and his lectures are interesting. attendance isn't that important and neither is doing the reading but both are interesting. going to review sessions with the TA before exams saves you. your grade is made up of just 4 quizzes (no hw, attendance, participation, finals, etc) Super helpful and kind. Go to review sessions and do the reading if you really want to do well, otherwise easy to get an A. ...Continue reading
