Best school you'll ever see. Research possibilities for students is ubiquitous and it's easy to interact with your professors on a close and personal level. This may be why we are ranked #2 research university by Leiden Ranking! :) Most students study hard during the day and really enjoy the evenings. The most social and beautiful UC by far. Only attend UCSB if you're disciplined, bright, hardworking, and willing to get recruited by top firms in almost all majors if you're determined to put in the work. ...Continue reading

UCSB is the best school in the US, not sure how you can argue. Don't party too much and make something of yourself. Find something you're passionate about and fit partying around school, not as the main attraction. Make sure that you live with people that are mature enough to handle college, and go to Chilla Vista and floatopia! The campus is stunning, the student population is driven and brilliant, and its on the beach what's not to love? Plus, IV is the ideal college town. Theres a place for anyone at UCSB. ...Continue reading

When i came to UCSB i was DAMAGED. I'll be graduating this year feeling like I've just spent the past four years vacationing on the beach, but with a degree and an education that will get me into med schools across the country. I studied abroad and the experience there made me realize how amazing UCSB is. School is amazing. Miss biking to class and smelling the ocean breeze. Classes can be a little too big though, crashing classes sucks. ...Continue reading

This is a great and beautiful campus! The atmosphere (literally) is amazing, with sunny sky and 70s every day, and the type of people you meet are fantastic, social, and WICKED smart. UCSB is the best university in California. Those have not gone here will tell you it is just a drinking school, but there are very active outdoors clubs, and a serious health mentality to the students. IV is a special place with its near total student population. Beautiful campus, beautiful people, and super smart professors. I studied mechanical engineering and it was top notch. One of my professors turned down tenure at Stanford to be a professor here. Its that great of a place! Plus you get to live in IV. What more can you ask for? THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SCHOOL EVER. It's not the kind of school where everyone is appreciating the theater or fine literature, and it seems politically apathetic, but the beach is right there and there are some good professors for certain majors. Humanities majors have a lot of lee way with their schedules and graduating early. It's so friendly, and we're like our own little community up here. It's slightly isolated from everything, but you find a way to make it around. We have a reputation for a party school which honestly isn't that accurate, but the people are ridiculously friendly and open all around here!!! ...Continue reading
