You probably end up here due to financial aid, or lack of acceptance to other schools. Everything you'd expect to see at a private school. Most professors are really caring and want to see students succeed in and out of the classroom. Highly recommended if you want to attain high-quality education in an awesome environment. ...Continue reading

PLU is exactly what you would expect a small liberal arts college to be. Lots of social opportunities. Great professors. Food is okay. Pros: Great professors who really care, nice campus, close enough to go WU for football games, Cons: Very small school, large commuter population, not much to do and for me, partying is not my thing, and the area is not good. Well known in Washington, however pretty nominal everywhere else. Absolutely not a party school! Social events are pretty lame, but it's a small campus so it's pretty easy to get to know a lot of people. Academically speaking, this school is almost embarrassingly easy. ...Continue reading

PLU is a great school if you want to get a good education and small class sizes. Great Professors. Depending on your major be prepared to work hard! Although Parkland is not the safest neighborhood campus safety does and excellent job at keeping us all safe! Social life is what you make of it in the dorms, big parties can be found but usually get shut down. Excellent, Supportive, and welcoming community! I was hesitant at first but it has been amazing. I love the small classes, the fact that the professors really know me and care, and the amazing opportunities provided across the board. There is something for everyone here. Sometimes he makes some comments (trying to be funny) that make the whole class uncomfortable, but overall a nice guy who knows his stuff but is a little outdated. Definitely willing to help if you ask for it. In-class participation is key, and reading the chapters is all you need to get a solid grade. ...Continue reading

All there is to get a good grade in this class is to pay attention in class and at least pretend you are interested in the tough material. In conclusion, he is a great professor with a sense of humor. All he asks is that you do your part. If you get a bad grade, it is your own fault. He grades on the curve, so you can get an A if you score 75% ...Continue reading

Very difficult grader. Grading could be described as robotic, no compassion or understanding even when it is something questionable. Has a problem admitting she is wrong even when it is very obvious she is. Her lectures are very clear but her test questions are definitely not clear whatsoever. Wouldn't recommend taking her to anyone. The one person who gave her a good review must have been her because she is awful. I have yet to meet someone who likes her. She is no help and is so hard on her students to a degree that is ruthless. DO NOT TAKE HER. ...Continue reading

Dr. Levy is a hard nut to crack he's extremely closed off. Super smart, so I hear. He reads his lectures off of a piece of paper, eye contact is rare and understanding is limited. Don't ask questions though, he will likely make you out to be stupid. Office hours are strict and he won't make time for you outside of them. Condescending and rude. ...Continue reading

My favorite professor, hands down. He's a MASTER of traditional art in all its forms. Strict attendance but works w/ students at their individual level (no matter how low). He's kind, grades tough but fairly and provides students a lot of worthwhile extra credit. Use it and use his sage advice as you go along. I've grown so much under his teaching. ...Continue reading

I was considering political science because of all the good things I heard about the department, but I decided if I had to take any more classes with her it wasn't worth it. Has policy that points must exceed a certain percentage of a test in order to be contested. Will arbitrarily deduct points on tests because she didn't like your phrasing. Dr. Toyokawa is amazingly helpful. He's always willing to spend time helping students understand. He also has great respect for students.
