I had many problems with my financial aid and reciprocity going through with them. It is clear that this school is lacking funds. Internet is always a huge liability, especially in the dorms. I would also recommend walking around campus at night with a friend. However, the people that do work on campus are normally very friendly. Just a few bad apples when it comes to professors. ...Continue reading

I've been at SCSU for 3 years. He (President Potter) will get complaints and will not handle situations properly or with any understanding. Professors get paid too much for the amount of work that is done and overall oragnization is sloppy and will lead you in circles to get an answer. I don't recommend this campus. ...Continue reading

This school has a huge diversity of different people there are many international students here. I enjoyed most of the classes I took, but I'm glad I only went there for a year. At SCSU, I had a semester where only one of my professor's first language was English. There are a lot of fun events my favorites were the hypnotist and comedian. It is also easy to make friends. They are pretty hands off when it comes to students who aren't average or above. Although, if you seek out the help, the faculty, clubs, and events will open many doors for you. Take it from a below average student ...Continue reading

If you don't know why you're going to school or what you want to do, this school will not persuade you to continue your college efforts. Most of the professors here are nice and willing to help, though not all. Many of the buildings on campus look and feel nice, although there are a few older ones that could use a renovation. Plenty of things to do on campus and in the surrounding community. ...Continue reading

This university is definitely what you make of it. Some classes are awesome and you learn a lot some just suck. I don't even think the rats in the trash eat this crap. The plates are not properly cleaned, and the food is sometimes not cooked enough. YUCK! Otherwise, it is a pretty nice looking campus, and is in a decent location. How the buildings and roads are made, is confusing. Most people here are friendly and there's ALWAYS opportunities to make new friends even if you're socially awkward or have a hard time making friends. I thought for sure I would be alone and bored here because I don't make friends easily, but it was easier than I thought. Very nice campus and 90% of my professors are awesome! I never actively search for clubs to join, or activities to do on campus but it's obvious they have plenty of things to participate in. As far as safety goes, buy something to protect yourself. It's a great campus with lots of nice people. The campus is awesome and close to a lot of downtown locations. The faculty actually cares about your success and is willing to help out in any way they can. There are tons of activities and speakers. Any college is what you make of it. You're not going to have a good experience if you go home every chance you get and just stay in your room all day. ...Continue reading

For the most part, Saint Cloud State University is a good school. The attendance for campus events is diminishing. The food keeps getting worse and worse. A majority of the professors are foreign which makes it very difficult to understand them. Could def use some work! ...Continue reading

I've never been happier in any other place in my life. There is a lot of diversity which helps you maintain an open mind and learn new things about other people. Overall i am happy with my decision to go here. After attending here for a semester, I have realized that it is actually a great university. ...Continue reading

He's the best professor I've had so far! Participate and show up for class. He tells you exactly what are on the exams cut and dry. Just be prepared for trick questions. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does have you sign in anyway. At the end of the year, you can get up to a 10% grade bump depending on individual participation and attendance! ...Continue reading

I LOVE Ming Chi. She is by far the best professor I have ever had. She makes class so fun with her humor and kindness. I always feel comfortable talking to her about questions or life in general. She definitely makes you work. She wants the best for her students and she pushes us hard. Going with that, she is a very tough grader. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ...Continue reading

Prof. Hofstra was not clear at all throughout the entire semester on what she wanted from us as students. It wasn't until week 8 that we actually dived into an religion which was Judaism, and then we sort of talked about it until the end. On the last day of class, we briefly went over Hinduism and Buddhism, and those two made up 90% of the final. ...Continue reading

I took this class thinking it would be an easy A and it wasn't. Dr. Frederick has weekly quizzes and they came so often you barely had time to recover from the last one before another one came along. His lectures were quite boring considering the lecture material was quite interesting. Not my favorite but it was an informative class. ...Continue reading

I took this class online and found it was easy to balance with other classes, does not overwhelm you with assignments. He is a fair grader and always responds back, even an opportunity in the end to get extra credit. Great teacher, I will be taking him again. ...Continue reading

The class is only graded by the four tests throughout the semester and the six or eight labs, so be mindful of that. Little does a good job trying to teach you the material needed to pass and he's a great guy to work with. ...Continue reading

Turn in the homework and you basically pass. On the first day he said, I don't care if you come to class to sleep, just come to class and you'll do just fine. Funny and very lenient professor considering we never really had due dates. Definitely recommend. Powers isn't exactly there to say that what you're doing is wrong, he's there to try to teach you on how to do your homework better. His class has 8 papers: 4 four page and 4 one page and you have almost all semester to do all of them. And one last piece of advice, bring something to do in class. ...Continue reading

She is an extremely personable professor. She shares life experiences, good or bad, that allow her students to build stronger, friendly, and trusting relationships with her. Although, her classes seem to be more confusing than informing. The information provided is valuable in the field of CSD but she presents it in a confusing/difficult way. ...Continue reading

This class is pretty easy. As long as you show up, participate in class discussion, and do the projects he has given to you. You only have 3 major papers to write in the class, and one class discussion that is mandatory that you speak. ...Continue reading

Dr. Kaffar was so nice, and friendly! Very easy to talk to, and response quickly to questions. The class is fairly simple, he does lecture quite a bit, which can make the night class a little long. The classroom work is reasonable, and he is a very fair grader. His exams are basically exactly what you go through in class, no surprises. Kaffar is awesome and fun. Would let us out early a lot, so that was great. Projects very easy. ...Continue reading

She provides no support, is incredibly confusing, and gives tons of busy work. She didn't grade anything all semester (and still hasn't), doesn't provide feedback (although she says she will), and doesn't provide any direction other than the syllabus. The lack of communication throughout the semester is beyond frustrating. AWFUL! ...Continue reading

He is one of the best professors that I have encountered with the MME program.
