Very good school if you want to do business. Very affordable and awesome location. Lower level (required prerequisite) course professors are awful, but to be expected. Once your major kicks in, the actual teaching begins. ...Continue reading

About to graduate soon 2017, and It was almost impossible to make real friends, i only made a few in 6 semesters 3 years here, the clubs are not fun at all. Like in everything else, in some senses you get what you pay for, and in other areas, it's a really great deal. Yet to stay in the program you need to have a 2.4 average in their major. That means that 60% of each class wont earn a grade high enough to stay in the major. The end result is frustration for students that go here for accounting. ...Continue reading

Ive had about 3 or 4 GREAT professors in my 4 1/2 years at Baruch. The classes are okay. But socially, this is a con. Don't expect to come here and suddenly find yourself belonging to a large group of friends that you can hang out and laugh with outside of school cause that will most likely not happen. Good mix of students and professors but do not expect joke classes or a social life. School looks good on a resume and there are lots of opportunities to get a job through alumni and corporate partners. Above average business school but if you aren't a business major I would look elsewhere. ...Continue reading

Baruch is a business-centered school smack dab in the middle of the NYC. In accounting department most professors don't speak good English and they are not friendly to students. The Accounting Department has departmental gradines for professors for no more 20% As or 20% Bs. I went there for three semester and I regret it. The Business program is too hard and you don't learn much anyway. I graduated from BMCC with a GPA over 3.00. And when I transferred to baruch, my GPA fell bellow 2.00. Really good and dedicated professors for the most part. I got a degree from there and graduated with over a 3.0 and I barely lifted a finger. I was a CIS Major and if you're thinking of Baruch for CIS think again. Their CIS department is the worst. I hated this school and it's politics. Expect to be used as a lab rat in research or your grades will be lowered 5%!
