I am disappointed there isn't a rating up here for teacher quality, as this is the most important part of school for me. This is also what made Fort Hays stand out for me. Every teach was so memorable, even 5 years later. The small classes, and the tight-knit community really make this University one of the finest! Go Tigers! ...Continue reading

Much more than what I could have expected. I have found that my advisor is willing to answer any question--and I have many. I highly recommend to anyone planning to get an online degree. ...Continue reading

Virtual college is a waste of money. The campus is beautiful and the faculty/staff are great. I did not like the social aspect or the fact that the only thing students do is party and drink. All. Fort Hays State is a nice place to be, but not for everyone. If you compete in any competitions, they will milk it for as long as they can since it's publicity to make them look better, even if the student was suffering from personal issues even after requesting to drop it. I do wish that there was more internships available, or better job opportunity connections upon graduating. ...Continue reading

Can be very sarcastic and almost rude with it. Dr. Bennett has a bizarre sense of humor and an ineffective teaching style. Many do not show up to lecture because the power points are posted online and that is what you need to study for tests. Overall has a weird sense of humor and for some reason hates horses. Very knowledgeable. However, in lab with him I found my graduate assistant much more helpful than he was. ...Continue reading

I really enjoyed the class. He actively sends emails for assignment due date reminders and responds to emails in a timely manner. There aren't many tests or opportunities to improve your grade. His lectures are lengthy, and not very detailed... but his tests are VERY detailed and you have to know every single little thing. I am an A student, sitting with a C in his class. He also stated in class What do I care how you do in my class?! Terrible teacher. Powerpoints are put on Blackboard but that will not help you any. You will fail by not attending class. He adds at least a whole page of information in addition to slides by writing on the board. You are much more likely to see the written information on tests rather than from the ppt. ...Continue reading

I liked his class and learned a lot from it. He likes to engage in discussion, so make sure you read the readings. It's beneficial to passing the class. It's definitely not easy but it makes me grade far more worth it. Don't expect to come into his class without doing work. ...Continue reading

A great professor! Clear and well organized syllabus. Weekly quizzes and written assignments (400 word minimum), and 8 discussions. Do the work and you will do well. I loved this class! I am a senior and this class was one of the best I have taken. The course content is very interesting. I highly recommend this professor and course. ...Continue reading

Interesting content, easy to read text, clear expectations, organized class, fair workload. Each chapter consisted of video lecture, youtube documentary, assignment, quiz, and occasional discussion. Teacher is very responsive and helpful. Easy but must submit work on time or will be docked points. Definitely recommend this instructor and class. ...Continue reading

Dr. Bennett is very knowledgeable and has a bit of a sense of humor. The class overall is challenging because of the amount of info covered. The powerpoints are great and tests were multiple choice with some diagrams to label. Most test questions come from the lecture notes while a few come from the book. I recommend this professor. ...Continue reading

He is a little hard to understand at times but overall he was a good professor. Attendance isn't mandatory but most of his exams covers what he writes on the board so I do suggest going to class. There are weekly online quizzes, you three chances to take them and your highest grade is recorded . ...Continue reading

I really enjoyed the class. He actively sends emails for assignment due date reminders and responds to emails in a timely manner. His syllabus says he does not except late work, but if I handed in the assignment late, yet before he had time to grade, he still gave me full credit! Best teacher ever! I look forward to taking additional courses from Mr. Gray. ...Continue reading

The information was interesting but test were tough and study has to be meticulous. Tests are times and you have to know your information. I can say the book was not great and tests are taken directly from book not assignments. You have to read and memorize a lot. ...Continue reading

Syllabus is tough to follow and all over the place. Two hour exams that are multiple choice but difficult and exhausting. The nursing instructors at FHSU are horrible. Dr Ochs' name is on this course but she does not interact with the students.
