Great for academics but thats pretty much all. Every year since I've enrolled here I have watched the campus quality decrease yet the acceptance records are through the roof. Uab is such a disappointment I can't even put my finger on one thing that could make my experience better. Diversity is all this place has got. ...Continue reading

UAB is GREAT when it comes to academics, but if you're wanting to have fun and eat good go somewhere else. I chose UAB specifically for my major. It offers all of the courses I need through undergraduate and graduate programs without having to transfer. Other than that UAB doesn't have much else that's positive. The campus life is boring. By all means academics come first on this campus. Seems like all work no play. ...Continue reading

This is my first year at UAB. It is home to the world-renowned UAB School of Medicine and the best Physical Therapy program in the country. As an undergraduate, you will get an education that will prepare you for graduate level coursework. I've come to love everything about the Magic City and UAB. I strongly encourage joining Greek life here, we're not as stereotypical as our southern neighbor, and it helps to create many B-ham connections. ...Continue reading

Well, I already give UAB about all the money I have to get an education, and they can't provide us with parking, and decent food. But in my field of study the advisors are never helpful, nor are they prepared to help-or help you find what fits you best (changing your degree or approaching another path)!!!! It's also 2017, I'm still here, and have never met the dean of my department. Go to a school that's highly known for your field of study! but PLS BE CAREFUL OF THE CRIME. do not take safety for granted because the school boasts about campus police. they cannot save you if you get mugged. freshmen specifically need to be cautious because they havent been here that long. school should give real safety advice given the fact bham has high crime. ...Continue reading

I wish parking was a category on here, because UAB is continuously destroying lots to build new buildings without replacing them. It's so annoying! only one time was a real alarm when there was an electric short in a dorm. I'm a nursing major so this is a great place for me to be. Birmingham, AL is an extremely unsafe city... just look up the crime stats... but UAB makes a great effort in keeping their students safe. New soccer stadium and other athletic facility updates are in the plans. Great urban atmosphere with great people. I love my classes and I love Birmingham. ...Continue reading
