    The First Year Experience program is very helpful to all new students. Came with university degree did RN prerequisites. Now doing pre-med with hopes of offshoreMexico. GO HERE. Low grade scale (60 is a C! ). Usually a sweet curve. Easy if you try. Professors cater to people who actually try. Idt I could cut core science classes at a real university.     LACC is a great stepping stone. Some of the faculty is great. After I found this website I made pretty good choices. Part of the campus has been remodeled. I had successful millionaires as class mates, as well as junkies who had just gotten out of jail. LACC is very diverse. Forget healthy food. ...Continue reading

    Amazing that the professors stay when the administration is so terrible. Financial aid in this campus sucks because you end up getting your aid money all late . Math teachers at lacc suck ! Lacc needs to be more clean outside the front of the school and more cleaning to the restrooms . No Cafeteria no REAL food options.     I loved this campus. I am not sure what makes this difference between SMC n LACC, but people in LACC are way more friendly than in the other. The campus is really good place to make friends and also teacher-student relationship feels closer too. Despite the poor poor campus and reputation, i am happier in LACC With the right guidance you may learn a lot from this school. There is always help available to you if you just ask.     My first college experience. If you want success and are ambitious they will reward your effort and meet you halfway. Staff (not professors) are hit and miss. i avoided as much as possible (bureaucracy issues mostly). Campus is getting a full makeover so it will be nice when done. Upgrade WIFI! Plan on transferring so i'm making the most of it. A pretty cool place. Very diverse and I love that. Decent layout, police station on campus, AC is cold and heat works, general counseling dept. is bleh. Specific counseling depts are good. Food is coffee, vending machines and a cafe I haven't seen yet. Great place to start college. Check your major coursework! ...Continue reading

    Terrible counselors and administration, low transfer rates, lots of homeless roaming around campus, bedbug infestation in library/common areas, no cafeteria, most students enroll for financial aid $. Night classes are usually run by disgruntled and unmotivated adjuncts. No congruency for transfer requirements on a district level. The parking permit is also relatively inexpensive. The school its self is very, to each its own. Not much school activity or school pride.     Honestly, LACC is the least well maintained community college that ever existed. The counselors along with majority of staff don't believe in their students nor do they do everything possible to help. The horrible food is overpriced & the school atmosphere is as dead as LACC's future building plans. Unfortunately the staff here is TERRIBLE.     Some really good Professors. I made a lot of friends and was sad to leave when I transferred. My issue, was the professors. Very few professors prepare you for university well enough. Some are too easy and some abuse their tenure to make other folks' life a misery (take Landberg from Chem for instance). I learned the cold reality here in University. ...Continue reading

    There is only one place to eat on campus, there is no LGBTQ Center. The teachers are dedicated, and you're going to be surprised how good it feels to push yourself to be excellent.     The school is old. Some professors can be difficult to deal with, and others can even become one of the top professors you ever had. The Food, oh my, it seems that the college is only affiliated to ONE food truck, ONLY ONE. At least, they should allow other food trucks to come. Classes at night, beware there isn't to many lampposts! Teachers do not discuss assignments in class often.     Great for getting classes (more classes available) but it comes at a cost. Has good teachers, but most are the worst teachers ever imaginable. AJ department is unbelievably awesome. Every teacher there is excellent. So if you want to take AJ go! If you are into sciences, seek out a better school. Councilors only care about getting you out of school, so if you have a problem - don't expect help. The instructors are lazy and rude. The students are losers.     I like the campus. Don't stay there longer than you need to. If it's for financial reasons, do your two years and move on to a university. The surrounding area is kind of sketchy but you get used to it. It's not the kind of place I'd spend more time at than I needed to. What I do appreciate about it is the public transportation nearby. Construction projects have been going on for years, literally. Also no athletic programs that compete interscholastically, which is sad because there are several students that would love to participate in a sport as student-athletes.     the best campus and layout i have ever been. i also think lacc should improve many things as having a cafeteria and financial aid lines. It is probably not their decision to do this, but they will flat out lie to you about information. It would serve the campus to create more food options. My teachers have been fantastic!     LACC is not that bad. It's a community college, so you get what you make of it. The area is good and there are plenty of food sellers outside the campus. Bus service is very good. Half of my class dropped out last semester because they didn't get the financial aid they were promised. They offer tons of help but there's so much red tape, you can't get it.     LACC is one of the worst community colleges that I have been too. The campus is dirty, there a homeless people that walk around, and use the computer labs, and restrooms.     LACC is one of the worst community colleges that I have been too. The campus is dirty, there a homeless people that walk around, and use the computer labs, and restrooms. Once a guy was giving himself a hair cut in the restroom. The custodians do a horrible job of cleaning the rooms, and facilities. Most of the staff are miserable.     Recycled learner. LACC has a lot of opportunities but you need to snoop around for them. If you're involved with clubs or a part of ASG, then you'll get an experience beyond academics.
