I arrived at the UO last year not particularly aware of what I was going to go through nor what type of environment I would be met with. I never had an issue with any of the professors and the course offerings were great. The only issue I ever had was getting into some classes that were only offered during a specific term. Thank god for wait lists!! Would never trade my experience at UO and even think of heading back for grad school. ...Continue reading

At the University of Oregon, students are academically apathetic, good professors have to picked out of the masses, and student organizations are quite sub par. If you are gay, lesbian, etc you would fit right in. I am not. Admistration is operating in Mad-Men era of the 1960's and they are ignorant. Keep focused on getting degree and moving on. Sociology Dept. Good & EDST dept. BAD. Many nice buildings & old too. If u like football, great! Because of the prices of food, I was never able to eat anywhere but the Dairy Queen nearby. Overall, it left me missing Community College and regretting my decision to head to a university. ...Continue reading

In the Architecture program, it's a good program, but they don't tell you how much you'll be spending on supplies for everything, I've been dropping at least 50 bucks a week for supplies for all the models and everything. Your 'rights' stop at their emotions. Professors are a mixed bag. As a history major, there isn't that diverse a range of classes geographically speaking. I love the UO. It's a little more of a party school than I had anticipated, but there are plenty of different types of folks to hang with, so if partying isn't your scene you can still meet plenty of great people. The Campus is really nice. people are the most friendly people. The students over there love to PARTY. The weather in Eugene is pretty much rainy all year. The buildings in the school are old and that what make it beautiful. The teachers in uo have one goal they want their students to be Successful. I loved it. scooooooooooducks. ...Continue reading

I love going to school at UO. * Many new facilities on a beautiful campus. * Sports teams are doing very well (well funded) * Excellent arts and design schools * College is what you make of it, don't get a degree that won't pay for itself.
