I am very glad I transferred to this school. I like the class size and I am more likely to participate in class discussion now. I have made good friends. Another thing I really like about this school is that for the most part the students in my classes will be in my graduating class. We are all in similar classes. There's only one club that I know of NSNA and they need some work. Environment overall is good, we have internet access, places to study and work as a group, computers and printers. Good school with a great reputation among the hospitals. ...Continue reading

If you're going to enroll at Chamberlain, do the program in Addison. They push for fake smiles that make you comfortable to enroll but after a few semesters you will see it's a façade. I transferred to Chamberlain from a large university. I do not like the fact that I have to spend most of my time on the computer learning with this school. Disc. posts are extremely annoying and I haven't learned anything from them. Things are going slow, but it is alright so far. So far I've had about an average experience. Excited for NR classes to begin! I am moving from California to Indianapolis to study at Chamberlain on 08.29.16 and they have been very helpful and accommodating so far. They are very easily reachable over the phone and they are very responsible and punctual. The staff is generous and will definitely answer all Q's&A's thoroughly! ...Continue reading

The admission faculty is amazing on this campus! The professors are all really nice and have lots of experience in nursing, so they can relate to current students. The campus itself is kind of in middle of nowhere, and there aren't many opportunities to get to know other students. Most people commute there, so it's a bit difficult making friends. ...Continue reading

Everyone is super helpful before your an actual student, good luck with that same kindness and helpfulness , after the fact . All these factor into the overall disorganization found throughout the campus. This school is tough, as is all nursing schools. Some professors are better than others but I have found this the case in other schools as well. If you choose to be successful and put in the work you will be fine! ...Continue reading

The way the school is run is very unorganized. They need more clinical sites, especially since when I applied to the school they had something like 100 hospitals we could go to. So why do they keep sticking to just 1 or 2? Also, when registering for classes they are only open for a short period of time and a lot of times that is not enough time ...Continue reading

I do not like the fact you must attend workshops in order to register for classes. Nothing going on in activities, except for a GSA club, and Student Nurses Association. Location is off a busy highway, traffic makes it difficult sometimes. No food on campus except vending machines, they took away our cafeteria and book store. Overall you are paying (and a lot) for the education, not the campus. Frankly if I didn't feel I was getting the best nursing education, I wouldn't go here. If you are looking for a community atmosphere, or simply a traditional college, this isn't it. If you are looking for a rigorous program, that will prepare you for being a nurse, This is it. ...Continue reading

She doesn't care for assigned book. She comes to class 10-20 late 75% of the time. She rarely answers emails. She reads right off the power points. She makes negative remarks about your capabilites. She forgot our first exam. She gets frustrated when people ask questions. Hard to follow during lecture and falls behind on the schools learning plan. ...Continue reading

NR 101 was more of a cash grab than anything. The professor was more opinionated on topics than providing facts. Small group assignments and small homework assignments here and there. She was helpful with providing some information but tends to put much emphasis on using the campus's other sources. Would not take Renner for a crucial class. ...Continue reading

Professor Lucas had the class sit in a large group and discuss our assignments and how they relate to current topics. We were able to have open discussions about very delicate topics in a professional manner. The final project was a 5000 word paper. Other than the paper, the class was fairly easy to obtain an A. Advice: Start early on your paper. ...Continue reading

The professor seems unprepared. She reads directly from PowerPoints and tends to reread the slide again to use up time. Instead of coming up with her own understanding and examples for students to use, she pulls up YouTube videos. As we watch videos, she is texting on her phone. Many unnecessary breaks given. Advice: Teach yourself make own notes. ...Continue reading

Flat out terrible. Very condescending. Does not answer questions and does not make an environment conducive to learning. Does not veer off the PPTs at all, even when asked. He was a lab instructor for my class, very casual teacher. He has a good smile and is very easy to talk to. Well, she is a nice person but has a bad rep around campus. It is an extremely difficult class and Miss Marcella is not very clear on what she will test over. She was teaching a Patho class a few sessions back & half the class failed because she didn't teach the material and the exams didn't cover what was taught. Well over 75% of the class failed the final. She was removed from teaching that class because she got caught hyper inflating grades. ...Continue reading
