Not really a bad spot just not a diverse campus and not a place for people who aren't athletes or STEM folk. CMU is a very down to earth school. A lot of the students are very nice, although you do have to look after yourself and be aware of safety. I actually felt less stressed as a grad student at CMU than I did as an undergrad. The workload for my degree was less than for my undergrad degree. I can't remember the last time I've opened a door for myself. Such a good environment to be in. The only negative sides are the location (not much in the area), and the size. While there are a lot of students, involvement is pretty low. Not many people attend sport events, etc. ...Continue reading

CMU has a welcoming campus with lots of opportunities for everyone. Finding friends can be difficult if you're on the shy side and don't know anyone. I like the majority of the professors. So glad I went here! The residence life food sucks, so go for an apartment as soon as you can after living in the dorms for a year. Other than the crappy processed food the school is amazing. Pretty nice looking campus, everyone here is proud to be a chip. Not many opportunities to do things, it'd be nice to have a mall. Let's be real if there was much to do on this campus I wouldn't be typing this review on a Friday night. ...Continue reading
