Professors here are really cool. Steadily on the rise with better and better faculty, however, I wouldn't be surprised to see CU grow to become one of California's best universities within the next 15-20 yrs. As for the location, it can't really get any better. If you love sun, fun, and are ready to work hard, Chapman is perfect! ...Continue reading

The campus is beautiful, and while Orange isn't the most exciting place, so long as you have a car there's a lot of cool places not too far. I came in to Chapman thinking two years here and I'll transfer to a bigger school. BUT I GREW TO LOVE IT. I am very happy- involved in greek life, met so many awesome people, and found the academics to be challenging. The small atmosphere creates a strong community. An excellent home for SoEn and CompSci related majors. ...Continue reading

Chapman is in a good location and there are many great professors here that have a lot to offer. This school has serious issues with diversity that they like to cover up with marketing campaigns. Regardless, this school has set me up for life in terms of opportunities and knowledge I learned in and out of the classroom. ...Continue reading

The location is very isolated from anything that is interesting. The school is expensive and maybe not worth it (I would do 2 yrs at community to finish GEs then transfer- even if you're in Dodge). The financial aid office will not help you very much. People are relatively nice. Most of the community is rich and white, there is no denying. Lots of cute dogs on campus though. ...Continue reading

I'm a freshman here and have loved the school so far! I came to college with an antisocial attitude and a boyfriend so I didn't get out much at first. My major (Software Engineering) wasn't well developed when I began since I'm one of the first... but I was able to watch the program grow over my 4 years, and Chapman adapts FAST to new technology, improvements in facilities / QoL, and is a star in perfecting and building the program. It has a small campus, but a beautiful and vibrant one. The weather is lovely and the student body is, for the most part, very friendly and engaging. I've also enjoyed great success in my classes so far with professors who are far superior to those in high school. Unfortunately, social scene is mediocre. ...Continue reading

Chapman is a really good school. 13 students are in Greek life. If you are not Greek, you're judged by Greeks. Students are stuck up and cocky. Greek life owns the school (only real party hosts). FoodInternet are bad. The staff, career services and campus itself are great, which is why I'm here. Socially, I'm miserable. ...Continue reading

Chapman was definitely considered one of my safety schools. Chapman's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts is an outstanding, highly-respected film school. The rest of the University just seems like your typical SoCal school with a bunch a rich blonde girls and narcissistic frat bros. Expensive and not incredibly diverse, but the classes sizes are great (for the most part very small). Right now it's bet programs are in liberal arts, but it is rapidly expanding its science and health programs. Growing fast so there's a lot of nice, newer facilities. Greek life is very big, especially for girls. ...Continue reading

I love Chapman! The professors are here to make sure you excel in life, they really open up opportunities for their students and push them to reach their full potential. Everyone is super friendly around campus. You are bound to feel welcome the second you step on to campus. With the small class sizes and huge opportunities, there's no way you could beat the academics here. Social life is a that of a medium size private university but the parties are super fun and greek life is huge and everyone is extremely friendly. Just don't mess up in the first couple weeks or everyone will know. ...Continue reading
