I absolutely love this campus and this school. Everything is within a 20 minute walk. Beautiful campus. People say it's a dry campus, but they obviously just don't have the right friends. College is what you make it- support your school and have fun while doing it. The only negative things I can say are that the advising department needs help and the credits are under estimated. The internet can be a pain and the food is so-so but the people are SUPER friendly, there are tons of clubs, it's safe and best of all it's absolutely beautiful here! A majority of the buildings are super new and updated, especially the brand new library and science building! ...Continue reading

I loved my time at GVSU. The professors are willing to help and the two main campuses are in such different types of location that you get the best of both worlds. Sporting events are free and all the teams are great which is enjoyable. Party's may not be good but the education you get will be! Growing every year. Not small but not big campus. The resources to succeed are all here. I happy to be a Laker! ...Continue reading

Grand Valley is a great school! It doesn't have a very good social aspect, so if you value that a lot, don't come here. I love the class size, the campus, and the library. As for the food, do EVERYTHING in your power not to have a meal plan. I cannot stress this enough. The food here makes me lose my appetite - yuck. I came to school with the intention of networking, getting the best education possible, and making life-long friends and that is exactly what I have done. The opportunities that Grand Valley offers are endless. ...Continue reading

The campus is beautiful, the science buildings are well-maintained, access to tutors is great, and there are a TON of student groups. I think the biggest complaint I have about GVSU is the lack of jobinternship opportunities outside of the Grand Rapids area. ...Continue reading

Grand Rapids is a nice city but there isn't much to do right around campus. I'm extremely disappointed in Grand Valley. I came to GV with an open mind and excited to meet people. What I found was people who aren't friendly and people who aren't looking to make friends. Everyone makes their friends in the dorms, otherwise you're SOL. I would not recommend GV. It gets really boring if you're not involved. The professors can be awesome if you get lucky with who you choose. But I feel like that's how it is with any school. If I could I would probably transfer. ...Continue reading
