Financial aid is a nightmare, plain and simple. There are only two landscapers for this entire campus and the Dean doesn't allow irrigation so the landscaping is really just terrible. (Horticulture student, admittantly bias) I have met good teachers and bad but remember it is a technical college. My teachers here are amazing. Probably not the worst school of its kind but it has a lot of room for improvement. ...Continue reading

Just don't. The campus-dull. Books fees were high. I am satisfy with the teaching that I received. Cost to attend - acceptable. I do not like the new 7 week schedule as it is not flexible in hours as before, the classes are too long. I did graduate and have returned to get extra transfer classes for my bachelors. ...Continue reading

I have gone here for three years and it has only gotten worse. I spent two years at state university and they didn't try to fail us as much. We are not all physics, chemistry, and english majors so quit trying to teach us like we are. Too much politics at faculty level, they deny the good ones lecture classes. I HATE how they allow smoking on campus. They really need to be considerate of all of students (like Charleston Southern University does) There are students who value their health (especially lungs) and do not want to breath in the cancer sticks!! ...Continue reading

Food is very pricey for a college of broke students. I've had people harass me on campus, say uncomfortable things to me, and follow me around campus. But also had students willing to walk with me on campus when I didn't feel safe. My boyfriend got a job making $15 an hour in a 6 month program here almost immediately after getting his certificate. The professors that I've had are awesome. The campus could use some landscaping & maybe some nicer outside sitting areas so students who are in between class could sit and study. I would recommend Trident to others. The food is pricey, so I stopped eating there. I have learn a great deal here and am grateful. Thanks ...Continue reading

I just transferred here this semester (fall 2016) and it's been horrible already. What they accomplished was running off students who were C students who had to really work at it. I think that's a terrible thing. If they had a better overall quality of teachers they wouldn't have to be running off people to raise their average grade per student. I regret everything and I am wasting my life away. ...Continue reading

Buildings tend to be older but they are updating a little here and there. Pell-grants and work study programs are nice. Badunhelpful offices- especially FA. Food- pricey with little selection. Little to no student activities. Professors are good overall. Have two degrees: ARV and RTV. Happy I went there. Good school for earning a degree without too much trouble but will not guarantee a job. Good facilities, campus is much larger than you would think. Library is pretty good, well organized. The Spot Cafe could use a little makeover but otherwise its a solid campus. Good teachers (thus far). A great transitional school. ...Continue reading

Terrible school. Poorly run. Only had 4 genuinely good professors. If you are one of those students who is good at math or has the discipline to teach yourself the material, then you should have no problem passing her class. There are three major essays (including a research paper), but he is an awesome professor and isn't a tough grader. He makes the subject come alive and even lets you call him at home if you need to. This is the way a REAL teacher should be. He always has a smile on his face and always treats you with respect no matter how dumb your question may be. Even if you ask a dumb question he will make you feel better about it. Very caring instructor. Interesting lectures, great sense of humor, and extremely helpful. Not to mention everything that was on the test was covered on the study guide (a rarity at Trident Tech). I would highly recommend professor Rusnak for your history classes. ...Continue reading

He's very knowledgable and knows his stuff! He even left some encouraging words on my final paper, which I had a really hard time with. He helped me so much this term, and I'd love to take a class with him again. He teaches history like he's telling a story, which makes it easy to remember. So easy and helpful. He pretty much tells you the test during the class before it. Lectures can be a bit boring, but he tries his best to make them interesting. Highly recommend. ...Continue reading

Ms. Sterrett is the best teacher I've ever had. Loves her job. Enthusiastic. Easy to understand her notes. Patient. Understanding. Teaches, not lectures. Fair! We are not using the book for Maymester, but need a mymathlab code. There is a temporary code that is good for 21 days, so if you take maymester, you don't need the book or to buy a code! I highly recommend her!! I missed 2 weeks of a 7 week math class do to my father's death and she encouraged, supported and helped me to finish the class. I continue to see her with help for all math classes even though she is not my teacher. She is more than just a teacher. ...Continue reading

I took Professor Chapman's MAT102 Online class for the Fall II semester. She'll review tests and whatever else in her office and give credit back. She is an amazing/helpful instructor. I plan on getting her for another math class!!! This professor is extremely helpful in that she posts learning videos from prior brick and mortar classes on D2L. The video lessons are extremely clear and encourages engagement with the material. I never had to seek out direct help. Definitely well thought out. She is great! ...Continue reading

This class is basically a piece of cake as long as you read the power points, and the outline for each chapter, you really don't need the textbook at all, everything else you can just google, also doesn't try to be weird and add silly questions like the Biology Department does here, he's also passionate about what he does.
