I transferred here from another university and it was hands down the best decision I ever made. I live in a rural area and commute to campus, but it sure feels like I live there sometimes. You can make friends easily just about everyone here is very nice and polite. There are tons of student clubsorganizations to get involved with. I especially 3 the library and the food here (goo Chic-Fil-A! :D). Great. ...Continue reading

I did not want to come here at first, but now I love it here!! It's afforadable, has great people, great furniture and spacious rooms. As well as many different living options both community and suite. The food is good, you can always find something. And the professors are great. ...Continue reading

I'm a non-traditional student, so there's not a lot of social things for us. Lots of walking but it is good for you. The school is feel is generally overlooked yet I see it becoming even more and more popular. Greek life rocks. The faculty and staff are amazing. Our president is super hip. I really love and enjoy Missouri State. It's an older campus and smaller compared to other universities but has plenty of people and diversity. Everyone is so nice. There is plenty to do on campus as well as in Springfield. I love it here. I highly recommend it. I really don't want to graduate. ...Continue reading

Medium - large sized University with a pretty good feel. I fell in love with the campus on my tour and love to brag to my friends about how much I love my school. The only thing I consistently complain about is the Wi-Fi, use Ethernet if you can because the Wi-Fi in the dorms is absolutely awful and rarely works. Beautiful campus, amazing town, and really nice people. The cost is unbeatable. I'm from Illinois and I'm paying less here than I would in state. On campus housing is expensive, but it'll give you the full experience. Tour the school and you will fall in love. MO State MO Fun. ...Continue reading

it's just an average state college nothing special... Good education, decent campus. Very crowded everywhere and too small for our capacity of students. Only good sport (for the most part) is baseball each year. Football games are just another excuse to drink. Greek life is big, but nothing like traditional greek like. Overall not a bad school. ...Continue reading

If you're choosing between Missouri State and Mizzou, MSU is a big school that feels small. One of the best decisions I have ever made. Has given me so many opportunities and made me grow as a person. GET INVOLVED, it might be weird at first but it is so worth it in the end. I definitely recommend to come and visit this beautiful campus! ...Continue reading

WOW!!! I love Missouri State. I've had awesome professors and horrible ones. I've seen how BAD parking can be but I've also seen how easy it can be (depends on the time of the day). The campus is relatively small for a university and easy to get around/navigate. The student union offers a wide variety of food and the library is huge. I was a junior collge transfer student. The professors werre helpful. Nice campus. It was a miracle that I got through math. IT has changed from a local scool to a state school. The town is bigger than Columbia and has more things to do. I liked my experience there. ...Continue reading

Best decision of my life. The fountains are beautiful! I am from a large city and find charm at MSU. The dining hall food can be hit or miss but they have options! So happy I chose this college, even though it wasn't my first choice. My professors that I had were wonderful, and I developed connections with them outside of the classroom. I later earned my MBA from Mizzou, and the Mizzou atmosphere gave me and even deeper appreciation for Missouri State. If I could do it again, I would have stayed at MSU for grad school. ...Continue reading

Not very diverse, and the city of Springfield is not all that. Really, it's just OK. MSU is not Mizzou and it never will be. So many of MSU's students and professors are obsessed with Mizzou that they lose sight of who they are. If you want a good but not great education at a good price, then MSU is for you. For a down-to-earth, nurturing experience, go here. For an intensive musical foundation, go elsewhere. ...Continue reading

Horrible. His lectures are extremely boring and he goes super fast. It's almost impossible to keep up and he doesn't post his power-points on Blackboard either. He is a very hard grader and gives little to no feedback. I would not recommend taking him. In high school, history was not a struggle for me. Apparently, I should work on this subject more, because this class was ridiculously hard. His tests and grading was difficult. His study guides are the headings of the chapters and he tells you attendance isn't taken when really it is. If possible, stay away from Dobson! ...Continue reading

McKay was a great professor. Likes to make everyone laugh. He repeats points that will be on tests OVER AND OVER. and will point out that anything he repeats will be on the test. He made the class much more interesting than I thought it would be. He throws in jokes here and there to make sure he has your attention. Attend lecture because your lowest test score can be replaced by attendance. Bonus quizzes are posted on blackboard. ...Continue reading

Really easy professor, she's nice and funny and grades easy. I took it as an 8 week online class and never once watched a lecture or opened the textbook. Overall, I received a 97.8% in the class. For the class, you take an online (non-proctored) midterm and final. The tests are mostly common sense knowledge. You are also required to watch two plays. your attendance is graded every single class though and it is apart of your grade so showing up is smart, but you don't have to pay attention all her lecture its all online.
