I like it here fine. Some of the professors are very heartless and demanding though. A lot of the older buildings arent up to code and do not have air conditioning. This school has very limited parking and accessibility. The school cares nothing about its students and only considers them as consumers. osu is a very nice school and i love going here ...Continue reading

Super pretty and welcoming, plus it feels like the whole town around it is humming with energy. Every school has it's problems, here those are parking, greek life, and sports. If you wanted to go to the library during a football game you're out of luck because student parking permits don't work on game days! Don't live in north corvallis unless you're in a frat. Lots of loud partying even in finals week. Great programs There's a place for everyone, and every type of person. Classes are great, and so it the social aspect. ...Continue reading

OSU is the best place to study and bond with friends at a higher level. My professors are validating and I always am able to find help when its needed. Lots of hiking around the city and beautiful sceneryagriculture. Almost everyone I've met here is down-to-earth and willing to help even strangers. Tons of good bars. Everyone I have met is so nice and I love that the school is big because it allows you to meet so many different people. Love the small town, very focused around the college. Football game days are a blast - free student tickets. Great teachers. ...Continue reading

College has ridiculously high tuition costs. Corvallis is vestigial with few good jobs. Staff don't care unless you have above a 3.9 GPA. Campus is old as a feature. Food will give you GI infection. Clubs are for overachieving pre-meds who put daycare on resumes. Social wasting money, drinking, or playing faux-sports. Otherwise the food on campus is awful, no nightlife, very non-political student body, many wonderful professors but also many truly awful ones. Probably no worse than any other state college but unless you are into science go elsewhere. ...Continue reading

it is a great university. Honestly, not much is wrong with it except the sorts of things that are wrong everywhere. (Like, random unexplained fees that suck your money away. But that's just a college thing.) Located in a lovely and fairly liberal small town. Tons of bikes and pedestrian friendly. Gorgeous trees and ample winter rain to keep them hydrated. Corvallis pretty isolated and surrounded by farmland in every direction. The entire town is such a college-town that you can't help but get involved in activities. The opportunities here are endless! Peaceful, and easy to get around. Corvallis itself is decent lacks non-thrift shopping. Considerable favoritism among faculty, who select their chosen ones based on looks and how little effort they have to put in for them. Mistakenly believes that skin color is more important to address than this issue. ...Continue reading

I took MTH 254 with Mr. Rockwell, and I thoroughly enjoyed his dedication to teaching and the genuine interest he showed in making sure students understood the material. He is a fantastic lecturer that makes the material comfortable and understandable. As long as you follow along and do the homework, the tests are a breeze. I highly recommend getting Rockwell for any class you can. ...Continue reading

Lecture is super boring but you need to go for participation points. Also, Maddison really cares about her students if you show her that you care. I had an awful group for my project and she gave me extensions and would email me to check in on me. Also, the tests are all online which is super nice. Also gets mad when student take advantage of her. ...Continue reading

Homework and written assignments don't take too much time. She just reads off the powerpoint, but the class is very easy. Material is very straight forward, she can only really just help if you need help with something specific. I hardly had to study. Attendance required, but should only help your grade. At the beginning of the term she seemed super strict and slightly ridiculous. Later into the term she was really nice and fairly helpful. Attendance is a nice grade boost if you can show up. 10 points a day out of the total of 1000. Homework is pass/fail and online, so if you like that style then it's good. ...Continue reading

Makes many mistakes in lecture, I had to S/U because of her and ended up getting a C- thanks to the lab and mastering chem. Unfortunately she doesn't know how to teach. She often mixes up her equations and gets the wrong answer about 60% of the time. She gets through the content and teaches the material but makes many mistakes when doing examples. Taking this class without any prior chemistry experience will make this class incredibly challenging. Not a great teacher not a bad teacher. Would take again if I had to, but would rather have another teacher. ...Continue reading

Loved Knutson, however I felt that his class structure was a little disorganized. Lectures didn't really correlate to homework which didn't really correlate to the tests. She gave a lecture in my class one day that we were all going to fail at this point. She never responded to emails when i wanted to come in for help and class time was very cut and dry. The quality of this class really depends on what TA you get, because most of the work is done in recitation. His lectures have little to no correlation to the onine homework. When he responds to an email, he basically tells you that if you can't figure it out then you should not be in college. This is probably one of the most difficult classes I have ever taken in terms of the material but he makes it very easy to learn. The guy is professional and respectful to students. His tests are challenging but definitely do-able if you take the time to thoroughly understand the lectures. A great teacher to learn from.
