The advisors, professors, general staff here are all in it for a paycheck and will not go out of their way to assist any student. If you're a POS student then don't go. I earned my education in Mesopotamia and it pisses me off when children don't care about their education. Top of the Line professors, but scheduling is HORRIBLE. Good luck getting the classes you need. Even seniors struggle to get 200 level classes for their majors. ...Continue reading

This school earned a reputation for lacking diversity in the staff and students. Over the past 4 years I have learned so much, made many wonderful connections, and have stepped outside of many comfort zones. Towson is a great college town in itself. There are plenty of this to do off campus as well as on campus. The only thing I truly dislike about this college is that a lot of the students seem very sheltered and they have safe spaces. Which can be nice but it also means they aren't ready for the real world and it's kind of annoying. Great location for students to go to bars, restaurants, etc. There are plenty of food options on campus, and wifi is decent. The professors are OK. You have some great ones, you have some awful ones. Registering for classes is difficult, but keep in mind there are 22,000 students. PARKING IS AWFUL. That's Towson in a nutshell. ...Continue reading

Towson is great! Close to Baltimore and DC with plenty of awesome surrounding neighborhoods. Urban vibe. Great professors, easy classes. Plenty of majors. Very diverse campus. Love it here! ...Continue reading

Towson is cool, seems like if youre not in Greek Life or have a way into the club youll be sitting at home on the weekends. I would be researching articles for projects and I would suddenly lose connection. ...Continue reading

I love love love towson It really is just what you make it. I hate how it's always compared to UMD. Towson University was such a good choice! The professors care and the class size is amazing. I don't feel like just a number. ...Continue reading

This school earned a reputation for lacking diversity in the staff and students. Over the past 4 years I have learned so much, made many wonderful connections, and have stepped outside of many comfort zones. I participated in as many opportunities as possible, joined clubs and teams, met some of my best friends here, and am prepared for the real world. Plus, with the new renovations the campus looks beautiful. College park is overrated ...Continue reading

Towson is a great school depending on your major. If you want to succeed, pick a major that has a high ranking compared to other schools. Otherwise, you'll be wasting your time. It's a pretty campus. Students for the most part are ok, but I have found that a lot of them act like high schoolers. Hopefully that's because I see mostly freshmen. ...Continue reading

Best maryland school hands down! 90% of the professors are amazing and everyone here is so helpful. Always plenty of things to do and you're super close to the city. Everything on campus is relatively close unless you live in west village. The only bad thing is parking. It is what you make it and for me its been a great experience. ...Continue reading

TU is a good school. When interacting with people at my internship, I had to overcome the assumption that I was a pretentious Towson student. Everything is overpriced. They make you spend hundreds of dollars for the chance to park in a garage that is often full. Very limited vegan food ...Continue reading

TU is really what you make of it. Make sure you pick a new/good dorm, parking is stupid (make sure you get to campus early in the morning), I rarely ate campus food but it wasn't bad. School is mostly white. I absolutely loved the FREE shuttles (went to trader joes, walmart, target, etc. with them) Overall a pretty good school. ...Continue reading

Transferred from UMBC to Towson due to money and closer location. As a bus commuter who works(I don't participate oncampus) the Profs are what concern me most. Hit/Miss unfortunately. Egos get in the way of teaching/some are just not meant to teach but may be brilliant in other fields(issue for students trying to learn subjs) still Euro/but content diversity is growing in Liberal Arts. They don't care if the students are happy. ...Continue reading
