Great school with great potential - but could use some major improvements. My main complaint is that it is very fast paced in every way, academically and socially, I always felt busy which got to be very tiring after four years. ...Continue reading

The campus is pretty, but not safe. When you visit, do not be tricked by the view from Saint Charles. Make sure you see all four side of campus, particularly the North and East. Break ins are a regular occurrence around campus. The pre-professional advising staff is very poor. Hard to get help for applying to med school. If you are a stuck-up, rich snob you probably go to Tulane. Seriously, the student body at Tulane is unbearable. If you're even a remotely nice person, stay as far away from Tulane as possible. Do want to mention that most of the teachers are very nice people though. ...Continue reading

Really depends on what you come for, the academics can be be decent but still most rely on relationships not skill to find work. What bothers me is how Tulane aspires toward a progressive brand while trying to suppress crime #'s & rape by TUPD, profs assaulting students, and the FACT Tulane's a HUGE hub for crime as students are easy targets. It may also get boring easier because your schedule is the same everyday. Also, as a commuter you miss out on a lot of on campus activities/opportunities. I believe Tulane should do something to help commuters adapt and enjoy themselves. ...Continue reading

Tulane is an amazing school with a good combination of academics and social life. Great school. It's definitely a work-hard, play-hard place. I stressed and worked my butt off, but also learned how to enjoy my free time. I have no regrets coming to Tulane whatsoever. The professors are challenging but are usually very helpful and clear. There is a tangible work hard, play hard mentality, as most are high achieving coming from all parts of the world to receive a premiere education in the one and only New Orleans, Louisiana. Can't be beat. The campus is beautiful. It definitely is a bigger school with a small school feel. You can't beat the location or the nightlife opportunities. Great campus, great city. As cliché as it sounds, everyone is so kind at the school and peers want the very best for their fellow peers.
